Materials: California state charm is made out of 24K gold plate over sterling silver with a little die cut heart in the middle. Chain is made of 14K gold filled Sterling Silver. California state charm and chain are stamped 925. This California charm is also available in regular sterling silver (various styles) in our store.

Many people who are nervous about gold plate have had negative experiences with gold plated jewelry that has a thin wash of gold as little as 1 micro inch thick. Our gold plate is 40 TIMES as thick, at 40 micro inches (1 micron). We find this thickness to be extremely durable.***
